From 1993 through 1996, ATLAS was piloted in pathways in Gorham, Maine; Norfolk, Virginia; and Prince George’s County, Maryland. Since then, the design has been implemented in over 100 schools, large and small, across the United States. Today, ATLAS pathways may be found in urban, suburban, and rural settings impacting thousands of elementary, middle and high school students.
